Ms. Franckewitz has extensive experience representing care providers in complex medical malpractice and wrongful death actions throughout Ohio and Kentucky, trying multiple cases to verdict. She has been consistently recognized by her peers as a “Super Lawyer” and “Best Lawyer” in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, indicating a ranking amongst the top 5% lawyers in the state of Ohio.
Stephanie has successfully defended cases in appellate courts across the state of Ohio, including a granting of discretionary review by the Ohio Supreme Court, ultimately garnering a decision that corrected the way clerk’s of court handle requests for delays of service by the plaintiff bar, resulting in the timely notification of lawsuits for defendants.
Stephanie has expertise in all areas regarding patient privacy and HIPAA. She has successfully defended multiple investigations by the Office of Civil Rights, including investigations by the Department of Justice involving allegations of Medicare Fraud.
Stephanie is a 1989 graduate from West Virginia University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing. While at WVU she served as President of the largest sorority on campus, Alpha Phi. She is also a 1991 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh where she obtained her Masters in Business Administration where she was recognized for high scholastic achievement and admitted for membership into Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society for collegiate schools of business. She is a 2000 graduate of Salmon P. Chase College of Law in Northern Kentucky where she was awarded the Bratton-Wirthlin Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy.
